Salon Centric Show Boise
So I am not very good at keeping up on this. Maybe once a month is a better goal. So I apologize to anyone who has gotten bored looking at the same old stuff. But I have some great new photos to show of models I did for Matrix at the last Salon Centric hair show. I did the makeup only, but it was so fun to work with the Matrix platform artist Nick. He was amazing, as were our beautiful models. I am also making an exception to my rule of only displaying professional photos. But I hope you enjoy these fun snapshots!

Follow Me...
I am making it a goal to pay more attention to this blog. I have been amazed at the number of people visiting it every month (last month there were over 250 visitors!). So I will commit to do one post every week about what I am doing whether it is a bridal party or a fashion shoot, or reinventing my career in a new way. And in return, I am asking you to become a follower of this blog. The 100th follower will receive a shampoo and conditioner from the exclusive luxury hair care line No.4. So don't wait! Just follow me....

First Day On The Job
Tomorrow morning I teach my first group of makeup artists/cosmetologists in the Basics of Makeup Artistry class for Mirabella Cosmetics at Salon Centric in Boise. I am so excited, but also a little nervous. It is definitely one thing to apply makeup, and quite another to explain how you are doing it. I am looking forward to what I will learn from the class as well. I have never come away from a class, whether teaching or attending, without learning something new from the other amazing artists that are there. Just tonight I was reviewing my booklet and learning how to define in words what I see with my eyes. What a cool experience! If you are interested in having me do your makeup for an event, or just to get out of a makeup rut; feel free to contact me. Also, any stylists out there looking to branch out in a tough economy, let me know and I would love to share with you how I have made makeup such an important part of my list of services.

Mirabella Makeup
I am so excited to share that I am now a member of the Mirabella Makeup team! I have been added as one of their educators for the Boise area and will be teaching some of the great tricks and techniques I have learned along the way as a makeup artist. I will also be working toward carrying the full line of Mirabella cosmetics. If you have questions about Mirabella feel free to contact me or visit their website at www.mirabellabeauty.com. It is an absolutely fabulous makeup line and, as you can see on the beautiful brides that I work with, it photographs incredibly well. Thank you for all of your support and don't hesitate to call or email me if you are interested in scheduling an appointment or a consultation for your wedding.
Meet Camilla.
Camilla's education began at Portland State University, where she studied graphic design. After transferring to Oregon State University, Camilla graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication and an option in Theater Performance. It was her experience in theater that led her to the field of cosmetology. Camilla found cosmetology to be the perfect blend of her artistic talents, education, and her passion for working with people. She became a fully licensed cosmetologist in the state of Idaho and has practiced for several years. Camilla has trained with some of the top artists in her industry including Vivienne MacKinder and Gerd Hoher. She continues to learn and grow in her field and looks forward to developing her skills as a stylist and makeup artist.
