Thank you Tana!

These are photos from a bride I did last summer at the Boise Depot. Her hair was like a dream come true. It was naturally this gorgeous shade of red and cascaded down her back in perfect tendrils. I almost wasn't sure what to do with it. I wanted to create a style that would compliment the natural beauty of her hair and be something different from her every day stunning hair. Thank you Tana of Tana Photography. Jordan and Co.

Hi everyone! I just got some amazing photos from photographer Lisa Wood. The photos are from a wedding I did about a year ago. Lisa wasn't the official photographer for this wedding but she was a part of the day in a big way. Check out her site from the credits portion of this blog and don't forget to view the rest of the blog to see more of our work together. Thank you Lisa! And thank you Jordan for being so beautiful and choosing the sweetest bridal party. You were all wonderful!

Salon Centric Show Boise

So I am not very good at keeping up on this. Maybe once a month is a better goal. So I apologize to anyone who has gotten bored looking at the same old stuff. But I have some great new photos to show of models I did for Matrix at the last Salon Centric hair show. I did the makeup only, but it was so fun to work with the Matrix platform artist Nick. He was amazing, as were our beautiful models. I am also making an exception to my rule of only displaying professional photos. But I hope you enjoy these fun snapshots!

First Day On The Job

Tomorrow morning I teach my first group of makeup artists/cosmetologists in the Basics of Makeup Artistry class for Mirabella Cosmetics at Salon Centric in Boise. I am so excited, but also a little nervous. It is definitely one thing to apply makeup, and quite another to explain how you are doing it. I am looking forward to what I will learn from the class as well. I have never come away from a class, whether teaching or attending, without learning something new from the other amazing artists that are there. Just tonight I was reviewing my booklet and learning how to define in words what I see with my eyes. What a cool experience! If you are interested in having me do your makeup for an event, or just to get out of a makeup rut; feel free to contact me. Also, any stylists out there looking to branch out in a tough economy, let me know and I would love to share with you how I have made makeup such an important part of my list of services.

Mirabella Makeup

I am so excited to share that I am now a member of the Mirabella Makeup team! I have been added as one of their educators for the Boise area and will be teaching some of the great tricks and techniques I have learned along the way as a makeup artist. I will also be working toward carrying the full line of Mirabella cosmetics. If you have questions about Mirabella feel free to contact me or visit their website at www.mirabellabeauty.com. It is an absolutely fabulous makeup line and, as you can see on the beautiful brides that I work with, it photographs incredibly well. Thank you for all of your support and don't hesitate to call or email me if you are interested in scheduling an appointment or a consultation for your wedding.
